PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Volunteerism is a Major Principle at YVSP
Volunteerism thrives within a
particular social ethos, where charitable acts are highlighted and viewed as
heroic. Volunteerism also needs an engine and must be aligned to higher ideals. Volunteerism, the willingness to sacrifice
without material reward, will not survive within greed or isolation...This is one of the major Principles at Youth Volunteer Service Program.
The National Volunteer program
The Youth Volunteer Service Program shall embark on a drive to recruit volunteers across the country. This
program is tailored to meet the Empowerment needs of the youths across country driven by
voluntary time and effort. The program shall seek to strengthen the spirit of
volunteerism in through active engagement of young people. We intend to partner with individuals, groups or organizations that
share the mission of volunteerism both nationally and internationally.

- Volunteerism is likely to reduce social and community tension through the forging of local and new inter and intra-class social alliances.
- Volunteerism reduces the social responsibility of government and reduces the strain on the social service sector.
