Youth Volunteer Service Program established the nature and scope of its activities for support, coordination
and prioritization. It
identifies key issues for consideration. support is needed to achieve her desired goals so as to reach out to the majority of the vulnerable young people.
The Youths Volunteer Service
Program is composed of the following administrative structures;
The National Office
A National Office is the National Coordinating Agency. The
objective of the National Office is to manage the Youths Volunteer Service
Program, establish the framework within which all activities are to be accredited for support and put in place the funding strategies required to
realize Youths Volunteer Service Program. It is headed by the Executive Director and assisted by his Deputy.
Functions of the National Office
The national office take steps to foster a sense of youths volunteering as a collaborative responsibility. for example, through balancing funds to achieve its budgetary manifest and an appropriate balance of humanitarian support rendered to the target population. The functions to be performed include the
following:
- Draws up detailed programs and target population to support for achieving the objectives of Youths Volunteer Service Program.
- Ensure that such programs and schedules are strictly adhered to by all departments.
- Maintains regular contacts with all training and business centres for skilling the youth for employability in Uganda and abroad where applicable.
- Recruitment and deployment of resources (including human resources). Staffing and administration.
- Budgeting, finance, and allocation of funds and grants.
- Developing guidelines and materials for capacity building in pilot projects and service projects in general.
- Make and submit all statutory and other reports as may be required by donors and sponsors.
- Monitor and evaluate programs under implementation.
- Do Lobbying and advocacy.
- Work in consultation with the YVSP National Board of Trustees for the smooth running of the organisation.
